Nurturing healthy childhood connections in nature that will have a lifetime of positive impact.
Nurturing healthy childhood connections in nature that will have a lifetime of positive impact. We believe repeated exploration in nature throughout childhood and into adulthood has long term positive impact on cognitive, emotional, physical, and spiritual well being. Our rich curriculum is a unique blend of child-led play and structured hands-on learning in a bio-dynamic outdoor ecosystem. This provides immersive opportunities for supported risk-taking appropriate to the child and environment. Through this experience, children and young adults can build independence, confidence, a connection to nature, social skills, and a sense of community.
Sage Valley Nature School is taught by Kinsey Clark and a team of committed volunteers. Kinsey and her family are homeschoolers who live at the Sage Valley Eco-Village. Kinsey is a Certified Nature-Based Teacher, has experience in early childhood education, has volunteered in church nurseries and taught in the Unitarian Universalist preschool which uses a Montessori model.
